It used to be that fandom was a secret room that only those in fandom knew about and played in, but now the door is wide open, with a big neon sign hanging above it. How do we feel now that mainstream media is aware of our playroom and parading our works to the general public? In worst cases, companies are actively stealing and relisting our creations. In best cases, our works are being officially published. What are the wows, as well as the woes, of fandom being in the public eye?
